Holly
Like a princess of the city you were

Holly mentioned she was wanting a dog
Sometime later, we all (Brad, Holly, Ken and Victor)
go out and Holly runs off to bum a cig off some guy
We watch Holly from the car as that guy gets out of his truck and walks with her to the other side. Then here Holly comes walking back towards us holding onto this line and this small dog pops out on the passenger side following her. I hear the guys say,"Oh NO! Not a dog!" Then we get out to see what in the world Holly had done. This small dog runs under the car with this line tied around it's neck. Holly proceeds to tell us this man just gave her this dog. Brad (the animal man) was trying to get a look at the dog and bend down to see the timid little thing a safe distance under the car. He starts talking to it and we realize this little dog is scared to death and has no plans of coming out from under this car. We pull her gently with the line that is around her neck. She comes out and as Brad tries to pick her up she snaps. Then I try to pick her up using my sweater keeping her head away form me but she snaps at me as well. We all tried our strategies to no avail. I decide perhaps we can pray? We pray a simple prayer, "Dear God please let this little dog know we are not going to hurt her and let her get in the car so we can go. Amen." I walk back around to get in the car and thought maybe if I turn the car on she will at least get out from under it. Just as I sit down she runs out from under the car and jumps in the back seat. We were all wide eyed in amazement and looking at each other and was telling our version of what we saw that little dog do.
Victor was the one that had to sit the closest to this little insane dog on the way back. Every now and then she would growl but we made it. We stopped to get her a collar and leash and by the next day she was a different dog.
