April Robert
Most days have found me working under the searing bright sun.
I've grown not to mind it, as it does sometimes sting.
I know that in tie each evening sky makes a setting for the sun to sleep.
At about the same time my workday is done and I can unwind,
I long to be in nature that leads me to the river nearby.
Here I am, I call out
An a soft voice sings back,
Come, oh come my wonderful son.
Your steps I welcome, know you belong.
Absorb my peace through nature's sweet song.
Feel my great love through Nature's awesome sights.
Remember always you are loved, in good times and in bad.
Time to leave it's embrace.
My life has given me wonderous days filed with laughter and days I wish I could forget,
When pains gave me waterfalls of tears.
The best things in life are seen in a face, a face of a little one, especially the little ones God gifted me.
One by one I have taught them what I know and what better thing then nature's sweet song.
May they always know where to restore their souls.
Hand in hand....
Here we are, I call out
And a soft voice sings back,
Come, oh come my wonderful ones.
Your steps I welcome, know you belong.
Absorb my peace through nature's sweet song.
Feel my great love through nature's awesome sights.
Remember always, you are loved, in good times and in bad.
Time to leave it's embrace.
Now don't get me wrong. I am only a man.
My life is speckled with wrongs left and right.
I confess with head bowed in shame, I broke 12 of the 10 commandments a thousand times.
I am sorry for the pains I've caused you, I regret what I've done and change as I learn.
I am who I am, I accept the bad with the good.
I hope to stay focused and aim towards the light.
Nature's song keeps me going on.
Hand in hand with my fellow man...
Here we are, I call out
And a soft voice sings back,
Come, oh come my wonderful ones.
Your steps I welcome, each one of you belong.
Absorb my peace through nature's sweet song.
Feel my great love through nature's awesome sights.
Remember always, you are loved, in good times and in bad.
But this time it goes on...
You've made your amends, my son, you've done right.
I too must confess, I've done you wrong for letting you think I was something I am not.
Nature is my creation, not me.
It was my expression of love and you felt it, any artist would appreciate your view.
I delighted how you return so often to me, I smile till it hurts causing tears of love in my eyes.
You've held onto my soft voice while most ears tune me out.
Time and time again I wanted to tell you who I am, but I feared you'd run off.
Those stories you've heard of my wrath.
Misunderstood by so many seeing me as angry, distant, and cruel when all I want is love.
If maybe you can understand, I meant not to deceive you, will you kindly forgive me?
It's so often spoken how much you need me, there is something you should know, I need you more.
My son, now know that I am God.
Here I am, He calls out.
In silent shock I take a moment to understand what I've just learned.
With tears building up and love pouring out I wish to give back what I've been given all these years.
I sing out..
Come, oh come my wonderful God.
Your step I welcome into my life.
Absorb my love through my song to you.
Feel my love oh wonderful God above.
You've loved me all this time and now I'd like to give my love to you.
