The Love Cloud

Romance

Romance is like the dove
It bonds to only one and stays close by

Like the romantic statue “The Kiss”
I think we all long for that passionate love.

It’s not always easy to find.
We may feel in love with another,
While they feel nothing for us.

For me romance would be
Not that lustful picture we hold in mind.
It’s more like the dove who stands close by.

Romance has perhaps been
Confused by me,
For I think of strawberries and wine.
Wouldn’t that be considered a meal?

So as I ponder a little more
I think that romance
Is feeling the love your partner brings
What greater feeling than to love
As to feeling loved
This shall be romance to me
